Release of Mental Health Records
At Mile High Psychology, we take the privacy and confidentiality of our clients seriously. To ensure we uphold our commitment to patient privacy and comply with their wishes, we follow these guidelines for releasing mental health records to third parties.
Authorization Required
Providers or agencies requesting access to mental health records must submit a valid, written authorization from the client. We are unable to proceed without proper authorization.
Please mail signed authorizations to the following address:
Mile High Psychology
1400 16th St. Ste. 400
Denver, CO 80202
Authorized agencies can securely submit authorizations via our document portal: Upload Now.
Client Notification
Upon receiving a valid authorization from third parties, we take the necessary steps to contact the client. During this communication, we discuss which records they would like to release and the purpose behind it. Please note that this process may take 2–3 weeks.
Not Hearing Back from Mile High Psychology
If you haven’t received a response from us, please verify that your client is indeed under the care of either Dr. Rob Leach or Dr. Laura Leach. We receive requests for mental health records from individuals who are not our clients, and we cannot assist in such cases. It’s important to be aware that there are several mental health and healthcare companies with similar names to ours.
We recommend contacting the client directly and confirming if they receive psychological services from either Dr. Rob Leach or Dr. Laura Leach. Additionally, please note that we do not provide medication management services.
Repeated Attempts
If you have sent an authorization for medical records and haven’t received a response, please avoid daily calls with the same message. In such instances, there is a high probability that the individual is not our client. However, if you have confirmed with the client that they receive services from Dr. Rob Leach or Dr. Laura Leach, please feel free to contact us again.
Coordinating Care with Your Needs in Mind
At Mile High Psychology, our primary concern is the well-being and privacy of our clients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these procedures.
At the heart of patient-centered care is the commitment to meet the needs of each individual patient.
